  1. How can TruAI be a powerful "AI" if it's not connected to the internet? Where does it get its information? A lot of time, energy, planning, coding, and testing went into making sure TruAI comes pre-loaded with all the information it will ever need for answering questions and being a helpful in-home AI tutor. TruAI runs on a powerful, self-contained Large Language Model (LLM) that is stored directly on the device. Think of it like having an entire digital encyclopedia, a language expert, and a creative storyteller all pre-loaded onto the system. This allows it to process questions and generate answers instantly without ever needing to access the internet. It never needs any updates or upgrades and is made to last for years to come. 

  2. What exactly do I get? Does the system include a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and microphone? Your purchase includes the powerful TruAI core unit, its power cord, user guide, and our Lifetime Service Warranty. We designed it this way to give your family the flexibility to use your favorite monitor, keyboard, and mouse that you're already comfortable with. This ensures seamless integration into your existing learning space and helps keep the cost as accessible as possible for homeschool and ESA families. Since it's also quite common nowadays for people to have a spare keyboard and mouse around the house, we did not think it was as important to include as it was to keep the price as low as possible.  

  3. What subjects and grade levels is TruAI best suited for? TruAI is designed to be a versatile learning companion for K-12 students and beyond. It excels at helping with core subjects like Math, Science, History, and English composition. Younger students love using the interactive storytelling features, while older students can use it to explore complex topics for research projects. Its knowledge base is vast, making it a valuable resource for the whole family.

  4. Is the information TruAI provides always accurate? How can the content be updated if it's never online? While its accuracy on established facts is very high, the nature of Large Language Models means they can sometimes make mistakes. Something to consider is: not even information from Teachers, Tutors, or Professors are always 100% accurate or true, either. Although we would prefer a system that is 100% accurate and true, there is currently no system or LLM that exists today that can accomplish this. 

  5. Is it really 100% offline and private? Will it ever try to connect to our home Wi-Fi? Yes, it truly is 100% offline and private. No information or conversation data ever leaves the unit for any reason, and it's also un-hackable. There is no way for the system to connect to Wi-Fi as we ship the unit with the Wi-Fi adapter disabled. As an owner of the hardware, however, you fully have the right and freedom to enable the Wi-Fi adapter if you choose (and install any programs you want), but this will void the warranty and return validity since we can not guarantee that the system will function properly with new Windows versions and updates. 

  6. How do I purchase this using my Arizona ESA funds? Can you walk me through the ClassWallet or Direct Pay process? We have an entirely separate page that we designed to be a resource to walk you through the purchase process via ESA and ClassWallet funds. Please see that page HERE. 

  7. Besides being an AI tutor, can it also be used as a regular offline computer for things like typing reports or using a spreadsheet? Absolutely. The TruAI unit comes with many standard programs that are useful in homeschool and everyday use scenarios. We added several open-source programs prior to shipping the unit that increase the versatility of the unit beyond what comes on a standard PC.

  8. How difficult is the initial setup process when we receive the unit? Once you plug in the included power cord, and a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, you simply turn the unit on and login (the login credentials will be sent to you via email and we will have them on file if you ever need to recover them). Then just double click the TruAI icon on the desktop and it runs automatically! 

  9. What is your return policy if we find that TruAI isn't a good fit for our family's needs? We want you to be fully confident in your purchase. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you find TruAI isn't the right fit for your family, you can return it for a full refund. Please note that returns are subject to a small 5% processing fee which is only to cover payment processing fees that are being charged to us, nothing more. 

  10. What kind of warranty and technical support do you offer if we run into any issues with the hardware or software? If you ever have an issue with Tru, you can reach us via email at truaiinfo@gmail.com and we will assist in any way that we can. Of course since the unit is fully offline, if there are technical issues that we're unable to resolve over email, we offer a 180-day Customer Care Service free of charge as part of your original purchase (excludes hardware breakage or damage repair, only covers software and system programming). This fully covers having the unit shipped back to us to service it, as well as shipping it to you once the service is complete, and we will keep you updated via email every step of the way. If it's after the initial 180-day period, the only thing you would have to cover is the shipping, but the service remains free for life (as long as the unit has remained offline). If you ever have issues or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out via email, as we are very quick to respond and would love to help in any way we can. 
  11. Are there any situations where refunds are not provided? Yes, two instances are if the product is found to be damaged upon return or if the unit has been connected to the internet. Those are the only two cases that would get a refund request declined. 

  12. If I decide to return the product, who pays for the shipping to send it back? In an effort to reduce returns and any instances of "false purchases" by competitors, scammers, or spammers, at this time our policy is such that if you’d like to return an item, we kindly ask that you cover the return shipping costs. These costs are non-refundable.
